What we collect
When you submit your history through the Contribute form, we collect the information you enter on that form: your name, optional email, optional city/state, primary instrument(s), the bands you list, the musicians you played with, and any notes you add. That's it. We do not run trackers that tie you to an advertising profile.
How we use it
Submissions are reviewed by a human before anything is added to the public graph. Band names, venues, and shared performance history are published as structured nodes and edges on this site. Your email, if you provide one, is used only to follow up with you about your submission — it is not published, sold, or shared.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not set cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. Plausible provides us aggregate counts like page views, referrers, and form-submission events.
Public graph content
The published graph is intentionally public. Band memberships, shows, and shared-stage edges appear on pages like the Scene Dashboard and Bands pages. If you need a correction or want to request removal of something that's been published about a band you were in, email us at hello@thesharedstage.com.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit information about minors without their consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Material changes will be called out in the site changelog.
